“As a Senior Advisory Board Member for Task Force Movement and as the General President of IUEC we encourage Military Veterans and transitioning service members to participate in Union Apprenticeship Programs. You have earned our respect and will always have a seat at the table. For our existing members who have served and for those newly separated veterans we welcome your commitment, dedication and talent”

Helmets to Hardhats provides Guard members and Reservists with skilled training and quality career opportunities in the construction industry. Since 2003, the organization has helped close to 50,000 military personnel successfully transition into civilian careers within the construction trades.
Through partnerships with 15 international construction trade unions—including the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) and the International Association of Sheet Metal, Air, Rail and Transportation Workers (SMART)—Helmets to Hardhats is committed to helping service members move into civilian life with purpose and stability. These partnerships connect transitioning military members to fulfilling, family-sustaining careers in the construction industry through gold-standard, earn-while-you-learn Registered Apprenticeship programs. Participants are connected with employers and receive guidance on using their G.I. Bill benefits to supplement their income while completing their training.
Helmets to Hardhats serves as a gateway to meaningful, long-lasting, well-paying careers in the construction trades, empowering service members through world-class apprenticeship education programs.
